We bring skilled stylists directly to children and adults in the DMV area, providing complimentary hair services that uplift and inspire. Our goal is to make every participant feel confident, valued, and celebrated. By combining professional styling with care and attention, we create moments of joy and self-expression. Through these initiatives, we strengthen community connections and foster lasting positive impact.
Education & Resources
Through workshops and tutorials, we provide participants with knowledge about hair care, wellness, and self-confidence. We aim to empower individuals to take pride in their natural beauty and make informed choices for themselves. This includes hands-on demonstrations, resource guides, and interactive learning experiences. By sharing knowledge, we equip participants with tools that have lasting value.
Community Experiences
We host events that celebrate hair as a form of artistic expression. From hair shows to outdoor celebrations, our gatherings highlight the skill, vision, and innovation behind styling. Born from a journey of self-discovery and empowerment, Mighty Crowns exists to help our community care for and celebrate their natural hair. Since August 2023, we’ve brought skilled stylists into DC schools, shelters and organizations, creating experiences that inspire.
We have taken pride in witnessing the positive impact of our activities on the community and beyond. From these events, we recognized the potential to make a difference and impact the youth while addressing our own childhood struggles.
Together, we’re showing that every crown tells a story worth celebrating.
